Chilling stats: I haven't verified this but it seems that: Sunderland has the highest rate of known infection of Covid-19 outside of London. It means that one in every 269 people has it (and that is just those who are tested) and that the virus has killed almost one in every 1,300 of us. it is a sobering reality, and virtually everyone now knows someone seriously affected by this pandemic.
I work in the community, as an arts practitioner, in schools, clubs, and youth groups, I get involved with funding and charities, I see and meet regularly far too many vulnerable groups, people who do not have jobs and/or in receipt of insufficient welfare.
