Thanks mate, I am in the motor trade , when I say offers I meant job vacancies. Not after money but your reply has heartened me, I can manage just the worry as never been out of work before. Let's hope FPP take over and need a hand building the monorail
I know how you are feeling went through that in 1986 out of work for 2 weeks felt so helpless I am now not working Ill health but if you need help Just say PM me I should say
And the lockdown is now effectively over so infected people, without masks, will be mixing with everyone else. This man, Cummings, has deaths on his hands. There will be a second wave, I've no doubt, and this will be partly caused by people losing faith and patience in the PM, the government and the message they've sent out. To see Michael Gove laughing about the Barnard Castle 'eye test drive' was quite sad. It's handed everyone the perfect excuse, to do whatever they like, and the police are complicit ... ... "There might been a minor breach." We all know there was a breach, ffs, yet Cummings was not only allowed to do it but highly praised, by the PM, for his integrity. I think I'm going mad, tbh ... .... or maybe there really is one rule for us and one for them. .
or maybe there really is one rule for us and one for them. There always has been mate that’s why I hate the lot of them
Oh they've stopped pretending all right. We have actually seen Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and care minister Helen Whately actually laughing when given a question they know they cannot answer. At least 35,000 people are dead because of this virus and if you go off ONS excess deaths possibly 60,000. Only 5k less than the 65,000 civilians who died during WW2 and that lasted 6 years. This has only been here 3 months. If this "us and them" stuff continues there will inevitably be civil unrest eventually.
I'm not mad, I'm just sad ... ... I want to believe the government really cares about us. The huge Brexit based majority seems to have made the government quite blasé and way too pleased with themselves. I honestly believe Johnson has done a 'Prince Charles'. He's waited years for the top job but now he has it he's realised it's not really what he wanted it to be. His 'charisma' is so shallow that it's been too easily exposed and there's very little behind the schoolboy humour and fist clenching.
My mates dad was an Overman down the pit and known as a bit of a disciplinarian. His younger brother who was an electrician was put on the same coal face as him. Stopped his bonus on day one for the merest of infractions of the rules. Knew he couldn't be seen to favour anybody and the brothers didn't speak for 10 years afterwards but made it up later on in life. You have to be seen to treat everyone the same or it undermines your authority.
Gutted for you mate. Stay strong. You may be able to start doing something with your redundancy you've always wanted to where you can earn a living, try and stay positive marr. Good luck.
