The lockdown thing has been fine. Ever since the bairn arrived 6 years ago I've not really been one for going out loads, so coped with that a lot easier than many. Just looked at the positive, I had a few months of home schooling the bairn. Some moaned about that, I loved it. Loads of dads (and plenty mams) never really get the chance to actually spend a good amount of time with their bairn and helping him with his learning. Didn't even miss the matches as much as I thought I would tbh.

Had a bit of a scare when I got a cough then a few days later found I couldn't breathe properly like. Still not sure if it was Covid but it was hell for about 4 days. Used to have asthma as a bairn but haven't had an attack since I was about 10 (25 years ago). Eventually I asked the doctor for a brown inhaler and that cleared it up. He said it'll have been caused by a viral infection and, given the fact no other infection had triggered it, it would be a bit strange if it was unrelated to Covid, but I haven't had an antibody test so will likely never know. Had to phone 111 a couple of times though, was scary as owt and genuinely thought I might die.

Other than that the main worry has been the job side of things. Thought I was safe because my employer paid bonuses in march and are a big company. Volunteered for furlough but thought it was for 2 months, it ended up being about 4. When an email came saying there would be redundancies I was bricking it. Fortunately I wasn't affected, but my colleague in the north west lost his job. Must be a really **** time to be unemployed with the sheer numbers looking for work. Thought I was going to be one of them and just the thought of it was worrying enough, anyone looking now has my absolute sympathy. Just hope we don't get any major spikes and that, at worst, there's local lockdowns for a bit.

    Thanks, that’s kind of you.
Mam dying was a shock as although she had dementia she was physically well, still walked, talked, danced, sang & laughed. She just needed 24 hour care. She thought I was her cousin, but still gave me a huge smile & hug every time I saw her.

Had cats all my life, he was only 4 but was so affectionate, playful & funny. A real connection. He’s a huge miss too.
Thanks again, hope all ok with you
