I have to say I'm a little worried at our seemingly complete lack of ability to score from corners - we've now played Walsall 3 times, had 30 corners and scored 0 goals from them. I can;t remember seeing us score from a corner!!
To be fair we have been scoring regularly this season so i'm not bothered. Maybe try something different to lumping it into the box?
This division is packed with players over 6' tall, apart from Baldwin and Flanagan we struggle to compete. iirc we've scored one goal from corners this season that being Baldwin. we need to vary things like getting near post flick ons or playing to the likes of Power 20+ yards out, anything is worth a try as we never really threaten as we are now. I know we're scoring regularly but surely chances from corners should be a priority and Jack needs to get them on the training pitch practicing.
I think we need to start playing pretty much all of them short because like you say we're getting nothing at all from a direct cross. With the likes of McGeady and Gooch we should have more joy playing it short and trying to work something. It works for City when they only have two or three tall players.
Just hit the f*cker low and hard into the middle. Deflections, own goals anything. Lumping the ball high into the middle has been a complete waste of time. Fast one touch on the ground movement is what we need unless were signing some big hard c*nts in January.
