Appears that my statement above was mostly nonsense as we are close to confirming the signing of 18 year old Chelsea Centre Back Trevor Chalobah on a season long loan https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/33853/town-targeting-chelseas-chalobah When I first saw it, for a split second thought we were signing his brother Nathan, but obviously he signed for Watford and would be well & truly out of our league as he'd probably be at Russia now if he had been fit all season. Seems an odd signing in a lot of ways, particularly as we have our own young centre backs & this kid has never played a game of senior football so is very much an unknown in the senior game.. But will be interested to see how this squad starts shaping up
