Although it was all about the result today, I am still rather un-impressed by the quality of fooball on show. At the start of the second half I expected us to up a gear and try and play some good attractive attacking footy. For the first 15 mins of the second half I saw that - trouble being it was from the wrong team. Only when they scored did we seem to wake up and put some effort into it. Muzzy was a class apart, and if it wasn't for him then there could have been a very different outcome.
I thought the tactics were all wrong again yesterday ... not too bad in the first half - contain them, press them back, then attack and get the first goal. This was their cup final and a big chance of an upset so it was clear they were gonna try and come out and attack. As the second half wore on I thought now just get the ball down and pass and move - move them around with neat one touch footy, get em dissorganized and then hit them - so what do we get ... WHOOOOOOSH!!! every time (bar once I think, when a big cheer went up!) only for their No5 to swallow up most everything!
So we are through to the next round ... and Mr Chuckle still has a job for now ... but I am still far from convinced!

3,787 attendance.....and that includes a few hundred from Corby; and it was reduced price tickets.
Our 2nd and 3rd goals were in the 74th and 90th minutes against a tiring Conference North side.
Our overall performance always seems to be LESS than the sum of the constituent parts.
I've never felt such dislike of a manager on the terraces so intense. There have been poor managers
before, but the dislike was always based upon the team selection and performance.
This man is personally disliked for his words and attitude. He can't go soon enough for me.

It was a comfortable win, although things got very scrappy when Corby tried to get back into the game at the beginning of the second half.

Carayol was a different class, and Zebroski had one of his better days. We've got a good balance about us now.

Thought their keeper played a blinder. I guess there aren't many keeper jobs around, so non league keepers can often be pretty good these days.

As for the small section who were singing "you don't know what you're doing" just before Carayol scored one of the best goals we've seen down here for a while, well I don't think they know what they're watching sometimes.

This is a much better side than last season, and we'll only get better.

    Well done Buckle...Up The Gas!

when I heard the "you don't know what your doing" chants and then Muzzy scored I felt like chanting - "hands up if your a hypocrite". Never mind - bring on the Totton!
