He hasn't got another job lined up, he's just pissed off they wouldn't go after the signings he wanted.
Article said he quit without another job to go to because he was concerned by the owners lack of vision about the future.
Sometimes they say that then low and behold a few days later they are announced as a new manager somewhere. Most people don't quit a job before they get another one, but then again I guess football is an unusual business.
I'd be surprised if he went for that, I would have thought another EPL gig would have been his aim.

The second part is key. Most people who live paycheque to paycheque don’t quit jobs without another lined up. If you’re financially secure enough though, it gives you some wiggle room to have a breather.
Suppose in football sometimes it's better sitting back and letting clubs come to you as you can have a pick if you've just had a good season. Like Cooper did on leaving Swansea.
