I always wanted Spurs to buy Ever Banega. I hope Argentina win it and Lamela comes back a champion. Can only do us good.

Argentina must be in desperate shortage of defenders if they're taking Otamendi and Rojo. Bang average at best.

Hopefully he;s learned that, when reversing a car, it;s wise not to have your leg anywhere near the outside of the vehicle...

Seems harder to achieve than to avoid. Still don't understand the stupidity of that. Cracking little player though. I wanted him to replace Modrat.

Yedlin had a bit of a derp moment as the USNIN lost 2-0 to Columbia in the tournament's opening match

...but not as derp as the BBC failing to have any coverage of the match, even though it kicked of fourteen hours ago - and, no, I don't buy the excuse of the Greece vs Australia snoozefest put their staff into a coma.

Lamela an 80th minute sub in Argentina’s 2-1 win over Chile. It’s good to see he’s no longer Argentina’s most cosseted fan. I don’t know how many games they flew him halfway around the world to watch games from the bench. Funny how Argentina seems to do better without Messi. They’ve now beaten Germany and Chile without him after losing to them when he played. I guess you have a decent squad when Aguero only gets a few garbage time minutes even when Messi’s out.

Argentina really do seem a better team without Messi. When a player of his stature is in the team, everyone feels they should get it to him and let him work his magic. Without him, they play as a team.

Lamela on in the 40th minute due to injury. Looks very capable, putting in a crunching tackle followed by an olé on the player coming back at him. Messi with two goals in 20 minutes. Of course, it is Panama, who look more up for a fight than a football game. Lamela gets an assist on Messi’s third goal, after stepping in and intercepting a pass. Earlier he made an excellent run to get in clear on goal, but missed a ball he probably should have scored on. Still, thinks continue to look up for Lamela. He’s gone from not making the team to not making the field to being the first sub, and looking like one of Argentina’s stronger players.

Dunga's said that he's not afraid of getting the sack after Brazil's abysmal showing.
The only thing that scares him is death, apparently. I'd be quite scared of that too, if I was in his position.
