Terrible signing. Fortunately United make so much money that they can write it off and spend big again. Good old Sir Alex!

And this is the crux of the issue. The only person who gets into a lather about United wasting money is you. United fans don't give a **** how much the club spends.

I'm sure the same is true of City and Chelsea fans.

I suspect Liverpool fans who've waited a generation for a league title would happily watch their club spend £300m this summer to win the league. Maybe you'd start supporting them again if that happened!

... the increase in salaries is undeniably true ... but the club's financial model is not built on debt to start with .. so there is an advantage there ... particularly with FFP (although that's all smoke in the wind too)

... as I've mentioned before, the owner's stated ambition was to be challenging for Europe within 5 years of promotion ... I am more than confident that they factored in realistic salary levels required to do that - as it is, we are way ahead of the game - which has led to vastly increased income streams that could not have been foreseen ... a very healthy place to be ...

As much as I don't want to see Vardy, Mahrez or Kante leave ... we would crystallis profits on transfer of over £60 million should we decide to sell ... and the quality of players now being linked with the club are quite incredible given where we were back in 2009 ...

But we won't go down the over inflated galatico price route - firstly, such 'names' are unlikely to want to come to us at this point - but also because our model is aimed at maximising potential rather than the over paying for the 'finished' article (not sure Sterling was that - but the price was stupid) ... whether that be players like Hutth, Simpson, Morgan and Albrighton who had points to prove or uncovering the diamonds like Mahrez and Kante ... Vardy falls somewhere between both sets ...

So yes I do think the club will pay very well indeed ...

I'm not saying you won't or can't spend big on players and salaries. I'm saying that to continue to compete, challenge and win you will have to.

Two armies face each other , one with 400,000,000 men with super wages and the best training and the other with 70,000,000 men without super wages and less training .
When the big army wins they return home to a slight cheer and a few yawns from the public , when the small army wins they return home it's to a delirious and super grateful public ..... You and your son enjoy your yawns .....

Surely the losing army would be saddened by the loss of life and brutality of war, the cost of PTSD would escalate causing the economy to crash. The winning army would have to borrow money (probably form the other armys country) therefore entering into an economic war that lasts centuries...or am I missing a point?

Again, you don't seem to be able to grasp the fact that United fans (and City and Chelsea fans) don't enjoy their successes less because there is a bitter pikey somewhere in Canada obsessing about how much money their clubs have spent.

The sport in it though is correcting your poorly researched rantings! Are you Nigel Farage?

I see lots but most of it is unreliable nonsense, I pick through the bones of it and sometimes I can speak to God.

I get stick at home for that show I forget the name but I call it Grab a Slag, ITV should look to rename it. My wife and daughter are not happy with the name I have chosen for it.
