It appears we** did. After several exchanges on whether the Runners-up received a trophy, I emailed The Football League and was told that there was no Runners-Up trophy. This was disputed on this very forum [quite rightly as it turns out] and someone used an email link provided by me to email TFL again. This time they said there was a Runners-Up trophy..! I'm was thinking of going for a best-of-three, for a while, but decided to settle for there being a trophy, and the person who answered my email was obviously an incompetent, just like the ones Cortese suggested were there. **Of course, not actually we. More accurately they, but let's not be pedantic about it.

I would love to see that plank explain his theory of QPR throwing the game to Mark Hughes. Even Taggart didn't try and use that one. I do feel a bit sorry for Man Utd though, they struggled with injuries this season and some of their major performers just ran out of steam at the vital moments.They missed Vidic badly and Howard Webb really should have been rotated more, as he was really suffering towards the end of the season.
