I read this morning in one of the papers that 20yr old Aiden White has turned down £10k a week contract with you in favour of joining us in the summer ?
Have you heard anything on this story? And more to the point whats he like ?
Christ after we come back for Snoddy in July you lot may as well change your shirt colour to yellow?

Not all that fussed about White. He's very quick but doesn't really have any end product and quite often just runs down the wing with no apparent idea what he actually wants to do. Wouldn't mind us keeping him because he's young and has pace, but I wouldn't offer him ridiculous amounts of money to stay!

    Thanks for the info <ok>
Hows it all going under Colin ?
See you've had a mixed bag of results under him so far, do you think he can turn it around for you ?

I think it's going well. Ship a few players out and bring a cb in rb and a winger and promote some of the youth team hopefully and hopefully we'll be with you lot in PL. From what Bates has said you'd think Warnock is going to get money, makes me wonder if Bates just didn't trust Grayson with money at all. Plus Warnock wouldn't have signed if he wasn't getting any funding

Your probably right in thinking he didn't trust him with money, where as Colin's been round a bit and nows a bargin ! But then again he was given a huge wedge at QPR and totaly spunked it all !
I do think though this is his level as a manager?

He didn't spend that much at all to get QPR promoted! Whether this is his level or not is questionable, he's never really had much of an opportunity to prove himself in the premiership. However, at this level, proven track record. Can't argue with that <ok>

I didn't mean he spent a lot to get them up, but when they were up his buys were total pants!
The money didn't flow there until the start of this season.

Jamie Mackie (undisclosed fee), Paddy Kenny (£750k), Bradley Orr (undisclosed fee), Adel Taarabt (approx £1m), Rob Hulse (undisclosed fee), Tommy Smith (approx £1.5m).

Leon Clarke, Derry and Hill all on free transfers in the summer.

Chimbonda and ****tu on free transfers in the winter.

Kyle Walker on loan for 1st half of season.

Plus Ishmael Miller and Wayne Routledge on loan in January. The Routledge loan was fantastic and must have been costly in wages, but a player of that quality ensured they would get over the line.

They released Mahon and Quashie and sold Stewart to Bristol City.

If we can bring them type of players in for TRANSFER FEES, plus bring in quality on loan like Routledge, PLUS keep all our best players like Snodgrass then my views will change on Bates.

The story is actually pretty misleading. You are interested, but the contract offer he turned down was made a few months ago, negotiations are currently still ongoing.
