    Hi Guys,

A few rumours floating around here that James Constable is on the move to the gas for a believe figure between 100-150k. Do you guys know anything about this? Apparently he is of a similar mould to Harrold, except Harrold scored more goals and had more assists than him so I don't know what our management are thinking if this is the case <confused>

Remember he played well against us when you annihilated us in the cup a few years back, but don’t know a great deal about him otherwise.

    Cheers
    Chris

Beano was given permission to talk to Swindon last season so I would imagine that our manager had a back up plan in case he went. Not a good season for him last term but he is a hard worker and I'm sure he would be an asset to any league two team. I would be sorry to see him leave and I'd imagine that he would receive a warm welcome at the Kassam if he signed for Rovers. I think Beano knew he would be hated if he signed for Swindon but will always be revered for turning them down. I have a feeling that Rovers will be a different animal this time around with your new manager having a pre-season to work on I predict a top three spot for you guys. I hope Beano stays with us an rediscovers his form. Although Beano is not that gifted he is strong and direct and defenders don't like playing against him. All the best for the season.

Spot on Didcot, Beano is not the most talented but more than makes up for it with 110% effort and commitment. Personally I'd hate to see him leave but it looks increasingly likely that he will especially given the apparant fall out between him and the manager, he hardly played in the last 3 months of the season. Wherever he goes he'll be a terrific signing and he'll get a great reception on his return.

Thanks guys. Always sad when a good player falls out with a manager. I personally cannot see the sense in signing a player like Constable when we have Matt Harrold who plays a similar role, but who knows.

Best of luck for the new season guys. Im sure you will be up there come May next year <ok>

This looks to be more than just a rumour now as we've rejected a bid. I don't know what sort of money has been offered but I would think around 100k should seal the deal.

I still don't want him to leave but he doesn't seem to have much of a future at the club under Wilder

would be sad to see hium go,especially for the money being quoted. think he's worth more than that. it does look like he's fallen out with the manager though which is a big shame as i think we could've definitely made the play-off with him playing instead of rendell
