Of course 9/11 actually happened, it's the official government explanation some people take issue with.
Untouched passport found in the rubble. Can jet fuel melt steel beams? Explosions in the buildings before it collapsed. BBC reporting building 7 collapse before it did. Etc This stuff has been on the internet for like 20 years now, not saying anyone has to believe it like.
With any conspiracy theory the most important question is 'why?' With most there is no sensible answer to that question.
There's a section of society that believe whatever elaborate story that some dood attaches to a natural event. Princess Di died thanks to her car, bring driven by a drunken driver, hitting an immovable pillar at 60mph without wearing a seat belt. So the conclusion obviously is that the Queen planned it! Now we know from Harry that Buckingham Palace work closely with paparazzi - it makes perfect sense
Excuse to invade another country and get oil. They did it with "weapons of mass destruction" aswell, when there weren't any.
The 9/11 thing is that $1.7tn was missing the day before. It would have plunged the US into recession, maybe worse, so they need to stimulate the economy with a war whilst burying the evidence. 3 planes, bunch of very weird stuff (controlled explosions, odd timed reports, strange angles, etc.) plus one that - inexplicably - hit the Pentagon, in the Gov finance sector, with 0 casualties. Covid is interesting - US Govt granted I think $30m or $300m to Wuhan about 18 months before the virus appeared. When the WHO admitted evidence was there to suggest it was man-made, it went very quiet. Seems bizarre to me that a man-made virus investigation can be swept away and vaccines can be found in record times. There is a wider conspiracy theory that brainwashing and wokeness are Govt creations to stop young people from focusing on solving the various crises we have. You're telling me nobody out there in the world is smart enough to work out clean energy? Of course we are - it's just the financial impact is so huge and would smash power and economies that it can't be allowed to exist yet. You think Saudi is building a self sustaining megacity for ****s and giggles? You think PIF was created because oil is the future? When the 1% have sufficiently protected their wealth, that's when clean energy will miraculously appear. Moonlanding - obvious hoax. Economy stimulation (again) and it worked. Nobody can land on the moon, it's not scientifically possible. At least, you wouldn't be able to take off again; rockets couldn't fire you in a straight line when there's no gravity. There's tonnes of this stuff. Flat earthers, however, are a different breed. Mostly American.
I remember at the place I worked at back then. They offered one department manager and one assistant manager 2 weeks wages to work that night 'just in case' because they thought nobody would want to miss the millenium celebrations. Every single one of us applied and they had to do a lottery to see who got the shifts. Nothing happened.
The earth isn’t flat? How come we don’t fall off Argh, gravity , that invisible force cos the earth is spinning so fast we stick If it’s spinning so fast how come I’m not dizzy all the time, i am when I come the rides
The funny thing about flat earthers is when you ask them practical questions. Like (bearing in mind they are mostly American) if you fly from the US to Hong Kong, how come you go west from US, wouldn't you have to fly east and go all the way across the whole of the rest of the world to get to HK instead? So where does that plane go, back UNDER the Earth? You get some hilariously creative bullshit.
Cheesecake, in general, is good. A bad cheesecake is bad. An amazing cheesecake is amazing. All dependent on the craft of the cheesecakemaker.
I have no time for cheesecake.... Sticky toffee pudding with a good vanilla ice cream .. a proper pudding basically... ...
I concur - STP (my favourite of all time pudding) trumps cheesecake without contest... But there are still amazing cheesecakes.
I feel like we've wandered off topic here a bit, which I'll take the blame for... However, I will have my STP with custard on some days, and ice cream on others and I'm proud to admit it.
