Ralls at right back Steve? Can't see that as his right peg is just for standing on. No arguments about him playing left back. I see that as his ultimate position with us.

I know he'd struggle over there, but we could shuffle others about depending who isn't available.

That was out of the blue. Bizarre really given the idea surely is to get as high up the table as possible. Plus City are very thin at the back now. Any more injuries and they'll be playing Ralls there given he is told to play anywhere these days.

If the idea is to get rid of high earners why didn't they try to offload Jones, Marshall, Adeyami, Fabio etc in January?

Why also did they spend £1m on Doyle, £200k on O'Keefe etc?

The club really do have to come out and tell us what is the long term plan.

£1m on Doyle seems the mental bit of business there to me. Does he offer anything Mason doesn't?

Not yet but give the guy a chance. He has been a prolific scorer in Div. 1. Joe has never had a high scoring rate although he needs his chance too. Doyle needs the ball on the ground, through the channels, much the same as Joe. Pointless hoofing it in the air to either of them. I suppose I'm endorsing most of your argument there Steve. <doh>

That is exactly what I said..... <laugh>

Being serious, I think Joe would score 20 odd in L1 a season. Doyle has already seen a few saved whilst he's held his head almost in disbelief.

I'm certainly not writing him off either, just hard to see how he was going to make a £1m difference to a side that had ALF (I know we'd loaned him out), Mason, Macheda <party>, KWJ, Revel. In other seasons I'd have understood the expenditure to cover us, but he was a ****ing weird addition during a fire sale.

I'll be over the moon if he's my 2nd favourite player behind Macheda next season <laugh>, but we'll probably give them both away for free in the summer to save the wages........... <doh>
