well done tom bradshaw on being called up to the wales under 21 squad. this will rule him out of the gills game a week on saturday

Atcham,
I do not like to dampen the enthusiasm for recognition for Town players but I would rather none of our players are away on international duty. It disrupts our planning - making the squad weaker for an important game. Players often get injured on international duty or come back tired if there is alot of travelling involved. In Bradshaw's case he has just come back from an injury and cannot possibly be match fit and he would be much better off staying and training with us and the physio who knows all about how to manage his comeback properly. I also belive Collins will get an Ireland call-up. He is a valuable player for us and would have very likely played some part against Gillingham so we go into a vital game against probable promotion rivals two forwards short. Remember we were cheated out of promotion last year by one appalling decision - this league will likely be as close again this year. If we have more than one call-up we should be able to postpone the game

i agree if we have 1 or more on international duty then the game should be postponed. sadly this rule only applies to the premier. it is noticeable that tom not only will be missing next saturday and was not picked for today's game
