    Don't get me wrong, I have enough awareness to appreciate that if Newcastle won then our fans would be saying similar things. I would also expect other teams fans to take the p!ss out of us relentlessly for it.

    It’s the hyperbole that sets them apart.

    Everything has to be ‘special’ when related to them. From dem Yuuurrorpean nights, to ‘its like a cathedral’, to ‘this means more’, to ‘shanks is looking down’, to ‘the bestest league win ever’ ad infinitum.

    I’d not be surprised to turn on Sky later and see Thommo and Sourness dressed in priests robes as they cry over the sight of the Holy Grail.
