I'm not saying I disagree with you, just trying to show how your stance on two identical scenarios is so different. You're saying Hearn should be given a chance 3 levels higher than he's ever played at, but also saying that playing one level higher than he is now would be too much for Chester (and if anything, he should have a better chance what with the PL upbringing at Man U)
La Fondras is actually called Le Fondre. And Matt Tubbs has not yet shown himself capable of moving up from League Two to League One, never mind moving it up another level. For every lower league player who makes the step up, there's another ten who don't make it and going straight from non-league to the Championship almost never happens.
**** me, you finally get Vardy's name right, then you get Hearn's wrong. Regular watchers of Hearn think he's not a Championship quality player, regular watchers of Varney think he is. Being a regular watcher of neither, I'd rather take their opinions, over someone who's seen as little of them as I have.
Well first off being a striker/goal scorer is the hardest position to play. Chester alongside Distin as an example would flourish given time. Defenders get time, strikers dont. Hearn would be used as an impact sub in the final 20-30 mins at the start. The goal is the same size regardless of which league you play in. I agree with you in that its an interesting debate but when any player scores that amount of goals even in a lower league IMO they have to be given a chance/break. Subject to price of course. I just think its worth a shout. imo.
Correct ALF is a La Fondre. Well spotted There are many city fans who were crying out for us to sign Matt Tubbs his ex.strike partner Barnett as well as Emile Sinclair from Macclesfield months ago i know. If you dont give them a try you shall never know.
Thats why i originally posted saying "I wonder if Townsend has been keeping tabs on Hearn for NB". Whatever we think does not matter. Its what NB thinks that does. I used Hearn as an example of players that may do us a job even if its off the bench. Since Nick retired we have lost that impact sub type. Ive only seen limited pieces of Hearn in action via that Premier Sports channel but from what ive seen he knows how to put the ball away from around the 6 yard area and thats something that we have lacked all season.
Obviously someone's still making decisions... Conor Townsend ‏ @conortownsend93 Ohhh also my contract with hull has been all signed and done! Looking forward to what the future holds
just look at FM. that is the best gauge. i heard a rumour that was the reason Barmby was suspended. Apparently, Mr Allam said he wasnt playing enough Football Manager to make it.
