Well done to Paul Simpson and his Under 20 squad for their fantastic achievement in winning their World Cup. Interesting to see how many of these players come through to the senior team or will they, like many other promising English youngsters, fall victim to the short-sighted money grabbing tendencies of the rich Premier League clubs. We must be unique in having such a high proportion of foreign players in our top league and it is about time a rule was introduced that say 50% of the match-day squad must be homegrown players.
