Bring on United, so what if they're motivated? We beat BAYERN ****ing MUNICH at their stadium 2-0. United are coming to a very hostile Emirates where the players, the fans, the staff, the manager will all have their hearts set on making the ****'s day miserable. Bring on ze Scum, its about time we kicked some United ass.

You mean like last season when they absolutely stormed the league with the last kick of the season to win on goal difference :D

Cash now instead of a year of wages and him leaving from free in a few months time.

Should never have been left to that situation though. Poor management.

Money, money for what? It's not like that money's been properly reinvested into the team for the better, unless you consider that donkey Giroud to be an adequate replacement and good investment in return?

This money argument means **** all for Arsenal because we don't do anything good with it, unless again you think Olivier the donkey Giroud is a good investment and return.

They tried to tie him down to a contract for ages beforehand but he refused to talk about it until the end of the season. What can you do about that?

Ok your argument is they sold him to get money rather than no money, but can you please show us what's been done with that money? Has that money been properly reinvested into the team?

And no direct replacement for RVP, another top quality world class striker.

As for Cazorla and Podolski, we're still struggling to nail a top 4 spot, so sorry, they were 2 good signings, but the team needed more investments, Cazorla and Podolski were not enough needed investments in the team, we needed much more.

Let me make it simple for you, proper investment= causing Arsenal to progress, now I know maybe to a fan like you, struggling for top 4 and maybe getting a top 4 spot counts as greatness, to many other fans who have ambition, that's not good enough, and we need to see more, such as actually winning trophies, and at least in the minimum, looking like a team capable of winning trophies, aka, become challengers.

Oh before anyone comes up with the bullshit line of Arsenal don't have a god given right to win trophies, actually, when you have the resources and money we do (and generate), and the ticket prices us fans pay, you damn ****ING RIGHT we expect success.

We ain't a small team with a limited budget and limited money like your Everton's, West Brom's, and others.

People on this forum say Arsenal are an elite team, you can't have your cake and eat it, if we're an elite team, then you are expected to win trophies, that comes with the territory of being an elite big club.

I think there is an opportunity on Sunday, no matter how motivated Ferguson tries to make them a league hangover is inevitable so there is a chance. But we have to start the game quick no ****ty first halves and decent second halves that we normally have done against the big teams. Got to be on the ball from the off.

So you think the club with the fourth highest resources is expected by everybody to win? Or is it just their fans that should expect it?

If we became the club with the third highest resources, do we stop being expected to win?

Or do you think that we are richer than Manchester United, Chelsea or Manchester City, but just not letting on about it?

Yes, I think the club with Arsenal's resources, should be expected to BOTH win and challenge. Just because we're not as rich as United and the others is NO EXCUSE to be where we are, we still have more than enough resources to challenge and compete with them.

In fact let's just blow this stupid argument out of the water, whereby you think that since we're the the club with 4th best resources, that it justifies always ending 4th with no trophies. From 98-2005 our resources were less than United's, yet we competed with them, and won trophies. One doesn't have to be exactly on par with another club's resources to be able to compete with them, if our resources were at the level of Everton or West Brom, THEN you can come and justify our barren spell, but we have a great considerable amount of money, yeah, it might not be as much as United, BUT STILL ENOUGH to make us able to compete with them, and win trophies.

Let's further blow your argument, United don't have oil money to go and buy as many players they'd like as City can, nor can United afford to give so many players the type of wages City do, yet United are 15 points ahead of City, and have just been crowned as champions!

Stop putting our failures on being less rich than them, and start getting out of your bubble, and put the blame where it lies, on the board, and the management. When you CONSISTENTLY get rid of your best players, and replace them with inferior players, you're going to hurt yourself. That's why Arsenal find ourselves in this position, not because the other clubs are richer than us, BUT BECAUSE WE KEEP SELLING OUR BEST PLAYERS, AND IN MANY CASES, SELL OUR BEST PLAYERS TO OUR RIVALS!

United's KEY player this season in helping them win the title was who? ROBIN VAN PERSIE, who we sold to them! That has **** ALL TO DO with their resources but ALL TO DO with us being a ****ing selling club, which has been the case for years now.

And don't come back and say the players wanted to go, that's SUCH A DUMB ****ING ARGUMENT by people like you, you always say they wanted to go, rather than ask WHY THEY WANTED TO LEAVE US IN THE FIRST PLACE. The reason we can't even hang onto our top players is precisely because we can't match their ambition, and top player A consistently sees other top players being sold, so eventually he wants to get the **** out.

Back in the day when we were competing and challenging, no single Arsenal player would ever join United, but now it's much different, and United are a far more appealing side to join and leave for, as they win and compete for trophies, while all you get at Arsenal is challenging for a top 4 spot. AND THAT'S WHY SO MANY OF OUR TOP PLAYERS WANT TO LEAVE.

There's even a pattern, Fabregas left us for Barca and achieved success. Nasri left us for City and achieved success. Now RVP has left Arsenal and lo and behold, he's just grabbed his first title. These top players leave us because we don't match their ambition, simple as that. And when you're a top player like RVP, and you see the likes of Fabregas, Nasri being sold, and you're just fighting for 4th spot, what the **** else do you expect him to do but join United?

The manager HIMSELF SAID, you can't convince people you're a big club with ambition if you sell your best players, WENGER SAID IT, so what the **** do you think RVP must have felt like when he saw all of this happening?

I no longer care about Van Persie and his personal glory. When he was captain of Arsenal he said that he was proud to lead this team and that he wanted to win trophies with us, that winning with another team wouldn't be as special. 6 months later he was angling for a move to another team, so I see this league win as something that isn't really that special - as he said himself.

Aside from winning the league and the glory that brings with it... this has to be the lowest key league title for united ever hasn't it? No challenge, no suspense, no drama, no euro progress, no cup progress, no worthy opponents.

It's all just a bit meh. Everyone else is more interested in the relegation battle and the battle for top four aren't they?

One of the best bits about Arsenal winning the leagues in 97/98, 01/02 and 03/04 was the praise and glory those title's gave us from all angles. I don't really get that sense this year about United's league title. Or is it just me...

On a separate note, I've noticed my reputation bar has turned red. Not really sure what that means apart from apparently it makes me 'infamous around these parts'.

Digging a little deeper it would appear that on the 21st April, at 3.30am, I was awarded -117625 user points all in one go... did I just do something very, very bad at 3.30am?! Or has my profile been the victim of an horrific and deplorable hacking crime?

    I don't want a red bar

Giroud's had a decent year and putting him down and insulting him for the sake of advancing your agrunment is petty. He's not RVP. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD, HE'S NOT NOR WILL HE EVER BE RVP. RvP was no Henry and do you honestly think he'd be as good if everything he did while at Arsenal was constantly being compared to Henry (being said he was **** because he wasn't as god, etc...)
