Unlike in the 80's when engines suffered from massive turbo-lag, I imagine the power delivery from the new engines will be so linear, drivers will probably barely notice the existence of a turbo, unless they fit an after-marktet wastgegate from Halfords that makes a loud wooshing noise everytime they lift off to impress their mates, innit. It's all about making the engines more economical. Small capacity force induced engines are teh way to go, plus advancements by F1 in turbo technology could be used in mainstream car use as the manufacturers are also going down this engine route.

I'm really surprised that the audio the journalists were allowed to listen to hasn't become available. I would have been fascinated to hear it.
