Mane wasn't named MOTM by the BBC for nothing (even if some disagree with it).....he was a splinter away from a goal and put in a lot of effort. Could easily score another hat trick this season. Glad to see Romeu getting decent reviews....who knows how good he could be with a run in the side.
Yeah, if he had scored his one on one which hit the post, we would all be feeling great about him. I love him anyway the little scamp
I`d pick Romeu ahead of Wanyama, especially at home when we are looking to be on the front foot. I`d really like to see how he progresses with a regular start, rather than the odd appearances he has had so far.
Interestingly (well, vaguely interestingly) I spoke to someone who loosely knows both Mane and Wanyama the other night. He said that Vic was actually quite full of himself and arrogant, whereas Sadio is very grateful for the opportunity and really quite humble. I'd have had them the other way round. Mind you, same bloke thinks Kelvin is a far better goalkeeper even now than Paolo, so I might take what he says with a pinch of salt.
Think he has that striker's "loss of confidence" and just needs one to go in. Perhaps, Steven Davis can crack one (like the one which was wrongly disallowed against Watford) and it'll hit Sadio's arse and ricochet in. We'd all love him again if that happened!
People would be so busy criticising Davis' shot that the goal and indeed the deflection would be long forgotten. I don't think people are that protective of Davis. HE is what he is and won't be any more than that. We don't expect any more. He needs replacing but that isn't his fault and he can't do much more than play to his 100% level.
See? Nothing to worry about. We got some fresh legs into the game and still won easily. Squad rotation is good. Now... Who starts the next game? I'm staying out of that one!
