What! I have a 1:1 with my manager for 30 mins and come back and we have signed a striker! Proves a watched kettle never boils lol.
I agree, although I'm not totally surprised. We're told SR want to build a multi-club organisation and I think they'll struggle to do that if their flagship club gets relegated within 18 months of them taking over because they've failed to address weaknesses in the squad.
*when he gets the ball he's no slouch He'll score more goals than Peter Crouch Onuacho Southamptons no.9 (Obviously need to take the 9 shirt off Armstrong.)
That's a lot of striker. I'm looking forward to watching the video of TIOOno7 eating his own head if our other signing is successful
I shouldn't think this way but I do... If we do end up going down he's exactly the sort of player you'd think would bring us straight back up.
I would’ve been excited by Vitinha because of his potential and his profile, but I’m pretty happy with this. We have been crying out for: aerial threat, physical presence, ability to finish and link play and I think Onuachu has shown those things over a sustained period. Caveat: it’s only been done in the Belgian and Danish leagues so far, but he’s definitely earned his shot.
Long term I'd take Vitinha hands down. But we need short term and I think Onuachu will be better for us in the short term.
