    Still seeing quotes of 20m euros in the Belgian press. Think its safe to say we will pay somewhere between £10m-£18m including bonuses.

    Adam Leitch reporting that the deal won’t be announced for about a week or so, due to the need to wait for the government to finalise his work permit.

    What he has said is...

    - having his medical
    - £14m after all bonuses
    - personal terms agreed
    - the contract is a five-year deal

    Think it’s safe to say we will never know the exact fee; and as I’m not paying it (well, not directly) I’ll trust the club to do the right deal this time.

    I remember it happening to a friend of mine in around 2013.

    He’s the reporter for the Southend Echo and tweeted that he had an exclusive on their search for a new manager and that it would be on the back page of tomorrow’s paper.

    Next day, across the back page he had the news that Phil Brown was set to become the club’s new manager. His source was the CEO of the club. It was nowhere else that morning.

    Within two hours it was on Sky Sports as ‘Sky Sources’.

    I remember him tweeting that he never had any idea that he was a Sky Source! <laugh>

    21st June to 19th July. Mali have Tunisia, Angola and Mauritania in their group, so you'd expect them to qualify in the top two. No idea if Djenepo is in their squad or not, though.
