We've not seen any of them play, and most of them are very young and/or coming from other leagues. I'm relatively confident that Fellows will hit the ground running. Azaz will be good at times. The rest though, no bloody clue whatsoever.

I'm not sure why there is so much hype about this guy. What are people actually basing it on?

Strikes me as the hype effect where some people consider him brilliant and therefore others do and before long he becomes a world beater based on very little.

Ok, I haven't seen much of Jander myself, but everyone in Germany that I've seen rated him very highly. Again, not seen much of the Danish fullback we signed from Turkey so will reserve judgement there. Seen plenty of the others. Azaz is class, Fellows is direct, pacy and has an excellent cross and is proven at this level. Scienza, IMO, is a coup. Almost singlehandedly keep Heidenheim up last season. For the money he was available for, I'm surprised a PL team or better Bundesliga team didn't take a chance on him.

Been speaking to a friend in Germany. He's meant to be a very good, dynamic player. Great shot on him, loads of skill, takes people on, can go missing as all wingers can, but can also take a team apart single handedly.

I thought he came in on a stretcher, just after his lawyer signed for him. Or was that another sick note player?

Yeah I’m a bit puzzled about this. I can’t get Orsic out of my head! He was meant to be the bees knees, experienced, international, etc. <doh> Presume Spors is better tho?

He's 28 and had one decent season at a good standard. His two seasons previous to that were in the 3rd and 6th tiers of German football.

He may well be decent and I'm certainly not writing him off but on the face of it there's very little to justify the reputation he's got on here.

Been a bit of a late bloomer (he's 26 though), but my mate in Germany was incredibly excited about us getting him. Rated very, very highly. I think he'll annoy us every now and again, but then he'll also have games where he absolutely destroys teams.

Isn’t that the internet in general. You only interact with people that think like you. That’s why belonging to a social group of real people means you have to deal with lots of people that may or may not think like you. There are some people at WF who think their team is better than Saints. F***ing Losers!

Bit of a red flag maybe? I dunno, hope he smashes it, but not putting my hopes on it.

I don't think so. Like LTL said, he's a late bloomer - if he was a few years younger I think we'd have no chance of signing him. But I've watched him live a few times when the Bundesliga was on TV and every time he's impressed me.

Fair enough, hopefully he's right and we'll soon find out I guess.

I just think far too much expectation is being put on a player who is extremely inexperienced in playing at a decent standard.

Yeah my other concern is the apparent lack of interest if he's as good as being made out.

    Exactly this.

I am excited about the new players but it is all about team work.

This is where Stll will earn his corn, integrating them into the team and getting the best out of them.

Spors, you have done your bit

    Still, it's over to you.

Who would win in a team like this?

    Still, it’s over to you!
