    Searing insight.

Not picking on you Cerny, it's the nervous tension building up and causing me to lash out randomly. It's you or the dog and I don't want the RSPCA on my back.

This is my excuse for bad behaviour from here on in.

This is somewhat cynical, but based on the current squad of England players, I don't think it makes an awful lot of difference whether the FA appointed Hodgson, Redknapp, Pearce or Katie Price. I quite like Hodgson, though. He comes across as intelligent, straight-forward and (yes, really) quite articulate. But the problem is that, as ever, there is only a finite pool of players from which to select the squad for the Euros, and I don't think that this pool is particularly blessed. What real talent there is available is either ageing or resplendent with the tendency to go missing during big games. We lack something at international level. I don't know whether its desire, confidence, intelligence, technique, saucepans or a combination of all of this and more.

I'm right behind Hodgson and look forward to our quarter final exit.

All I can say on this matter is "Thank **** I'm not an England fan"!!! They are 6/4 not to get past the group stage. Hodgson will be better than McClaren and Graham Taylor. Bring back Venables!

Hodgson hasn't got an earthly whilst JT and his bum-chums are in control. JT managed to eff up South Africa by creating unrest in the dressing room because his mates weren't picked for some matches.

Capello was truely shafted by JT and was lucky that the latest captaincy row gave him the opportunity to jump ship before suffering the same humiliation at his hands again.

Wouldn't worry about the euros. I think they are about to be cancelled due to 1) politically motivated German-led boycott of Ukraine
    2) lack of suitable accomodation for honest fans 3) Complete domination by club football leading to the 'top clubs' refusing to release their players for such a **** competition 4) I thought we stayed out of the euros to keep control of interest rates anyway

Best of luck to Roy, I hope that he has the balls to drop Terry and give the armband to Parker.

Decent choice. Hodgson was the best manager finland have ever had. Maybe he puts england defensively to the right track. With or without terry. Im sure england go through group stage.
