The man played seven seasons, mainly from the bench without complaint, always giving 100%, got the nod in big games and never let the club down.

It's the plastics prerogative to be ignorant of and not give a ****. In 15 years time the real supporters will remember Park.

Surprised you sold him. Always played well when I watched him.

Who's going to do the dog work in midfield now?

    This <ok>

Sad to see him go, but felt it in interests of both parties, it was a good time to let him go. Wish him the best of luck at QPR.

Whoever did it last season as Park hardly played and when he did he wasn't that good. There's this self perpetuating myth that he always played well, some even describing him as awesome. The truth is he had some absolute stinkers to go with his occasional truly great games and for the most part was merely workmanlike and determined. There's certainly no shame in that. His efforts will always be appreciated but his time is past and it was time to move on.

Park has been one of my favourite players over the years, no he isn't as technically gifted as some, but his work rate is incredible!*

I wish him luck with QPR:biggrin:*

Get your self down to OT sometime and you'll see most of match going fans say the same as me. Yes he was a work horse but he as played poor for the past few seasons and now was the right time to let him go.

in the 19th title winning season.10-11, he was pretty good, very good infact.

Last season he was poor because he didn't get enough games.

Sadly I can easily believe some "matchgoing fans" will forget the players who weren't in the first 11 week in week out after 15 years. Hence the whole "plastic prawn sandwich brigade" thing.

But the real supporters remember them.

I think his sale price tells you exactly what level he is now playing at

Maybe, but how often do we get a lot of cash from selling to another premier league club? I think it's more about making room in the squad than it is about raising money.

I think he's worth more than 2 mill right now despite not having a great year. I think its more that and the fact he's 31 and has no resale value.

He was a great squad player for you guys. Always came on and did a job, i think to call him a special player and a legend is taking it a bit too far though.
Have to say I was surprised when you sold him, but its far from the end of the world. Good luck to him at QPR.

Also I have to add, passion is great...but to the guy who said he was close to tears when Park left, I have to agree with bulletinthehead, you are a pussy.....
In tears because a player has left your club?!? A bench warming player at that. Get a grip mate ffs.
What would you have done if Rooney HAD decided to leave last year, you'd be in a padded cell! I think you should seek help.
