Jeremy Wilson says that Ings has signed a 4 year contract....the 1 year loan, plus the 3 years after our purchase of him in 2019. That suggests to me that we couldn't cough up the purchase money at the moment, but Liverpool didn't want a loan....so a 'loan' plus guaranteed purchase is the compromise. A bit like getting a carpet on a delayed purchase scheme. Ings desire to come here was probably the factor that pushed it through.
Really like Ings whenever I've seen him play but some of the injuries he's had have been horrendous, but as others have said, if he can stay fit he may just be what we've been missing?
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...s/tribunal-clause-sees-liverpool-pay-15015351 Liverpool will have to pay 2.3 mill to Burnley when we cough up next July. Interesting things is that anyone who had a hand in training a player is entitled to a cut down the line for every profit. Not sure it counts for Ings, because he may not have been here for the relevant period, but it would be amusing if we could place a claim for development and get a few thousand. And believe me if we could we would....we are known for being on the ball and claiming our dues...shame Bale didn't move on.
Funny to see them as 'new boys'. They are after all just kids, starting a new job Got a good feeling from that though. St Danny, welcome
For once none of you lot have tried making a song up yet. I can guarantee you the Northam will go with Daddy cool just for its ease.
You've just put a song for Shaney into my head (The Feeling, I love it when you call) # We love it when you score We love it when you score We love it when you score But you never score at all Say what's the complication We'll feel such great elation We love it when you score But you never score at all, Woh-oh #
Here's one for my own amusement based on Elton John's Daniel... "Daniel our Striker, score one for me, do you still feel the pain of those long injuries?, you're home on a high, Southampton 'til you die, "Daniel you're a Star", hear the Northam cry"
Sorry to bring a downer on to your morning Fran.... It has a beautiful sentiment though, Elton's, not mine!
