That German reserve team...frig me.

Atmosphere in those stadiums is kinda ****e.

Hopefully the actual World Cup will be better.

Not impressed with the way they seem to be ****ing up the potential for video refs either.

Should be a good final hopefully.

They just churn them out don't they ??
You've got to seriously admire them they are that good.

We often talk about German efficiency but they've clearly got a model for footballers destined to win tournaments absolutely nailed.

They must be odds on for the next World Cup already I assume?

Yes I agree.
They must have a different mindset and work ethic.
They just seem to move on without any fuss wether they win a tournament or not and it doesn't take that long to get back on top.
We on the other hand have been waiting 51 years and still Hark back to 66.

Impressed with this Chile side. Luckily for the Germans, they have no Hull City keeper in goal as Sanchez always seems to score past them!

Haven't watched any of the tournament but understand Germany won.

Did they actually celebrate winning this competition?

In terms of prestige, internationally, it seems to me like it's on par with the Autoglass Shield.

I don't recall anyone celebrating Rous Cup wins, Le Tournoi scoops or that USA 93 cup where we lost to Lalas et al.

I suppose my point is, does this tournament genuinely register on the landscape of success?

But as long as we have a shiny domestic league paying second-tier world 'stars' astronomical wages to the detriment of homegrown talent then everything will be hunky dory.

Bet they barely shrugged their shoulders. When you've won so many major tournaments away from home soil then this is way down the list, unlike other nations celebrating 1 solitary major win and final, on home soil, 50 years ago in black and white and then go apeshit for a ****ing under 20s tournament...
