Wagon wheels, from that list, Dev. Anyone remember Bandit bars? And Caramacs! They were pretty moreish.
None of the confectionery in the poll are particularly great IMO. However, I do like American Hard Gums and various Haribo.
They used to do an Aero bar with milk chocolate inside and plain on the outside...yummy..this thread is turning into a porn site for girls.
Hi meowth - as Peter Kay (or was it Brian Potter ?) once said: "Garlic bread - it's the future, I've tasted it...."
Spoil sport ! - it's all to do with what footy fans (you obviously aren't one) like to eat at half time.
Yep. Marathons, Treets, Spangles, Opal Fruits, etc... have all given over to other names. It's invasion, by the back door, if you ask me. K'in hell, I see Opal Fruits came back..!
Can you still get Walnut Whips? They always looked to me as though a squirrel (with a bad constitution) had just crimped one off. On the Bus, I take your point, but we used to do this sort of thing, on the old 606, all the time and even the beeb mods used to turn a blind eye usually. There's plenty of other threads about footy on the Pompey/Saints boards you can join in. It's only a bit of fun.
I used to love the old Picnic bars. Wagon Wheels were ok - anything with chocolate in really. Oh, and sherbet lemons - I used to love them.
You can still buy walnut whips, but they are not the same. They took the half walnut out of the base, so ruined the fun of sucking out centre and arriving at a chocolate disc with a walnut on top. Halved the cost of nuts I guess. Sad times.
My one indulgence these days- well at Christmas, is chocolate ginger. Mmmmm!!! I will have my own stash, although thankfully the kids don't seem to favour it so I won't have to go to stupid lengths hiding the box.
