A little dangerous to say "all but qualified" just yet. If St Gallen win at Kuban then it could get very hairy (assuming Valencia beat us of course). I'm getting too pessimistic!

It's worse than that. If St Gallen win at Kuban then even a draw against Valencia won't help.

We did have it in the bag but we blew that chance by letting a side that was beaten comfortable by the other two and losing top spot. Its not clear cut anymore and it should have been....its all our doing at the end of the day and if we don't make the knockout stage then that is a poor show..

We permitted a bad ending to an otherwise OK - not good, but acceptable - night's work. We didn't need to look pretty, but we did need to win. WTF do we have to do to get that little extra bit of focus, determination, whatever if is that we're missing to close out a game like this. We played like we were a man down and not a man up. Terrible execution under the circumstances (actually any circumstances) over the last 15 minutes, just when we needed to keep it simple, keep a decent tempo, and keep it under control. We snatched a point from the jaws of three.

    ML ..... figure it out!

On a positive note (I have to find one), I liked Lamah combining with Pozuelo. I thought Lamah offered more than Routledge and Dyer have over the last couple of weeks. He was willing to take defenders on, showed he could beat them, made good runs in the final third, and was not a defensive liability. He and Poz setup our goal. Clearly Lamah is shy of match fitness, but still put in a good shift. When he went off we lost something on the left side.

I agree with most of that YJ but not on Lamah not being a defensive liability. Davies was screaming at him repeatedly because he was very exposed at times and that's why he was pulled off in the end. However, he was clearly put on the pitch to get forward and he did that very well, fair play.

Towards the end of his shift, he was definitely dragging. His defense can be worked on but, we need to find a way to keep the likes of Routledge and Dyer on their toes while Pablo is up and down with this thigh problem.
