Comrade Comm

You seem very impressed with the boy you have in your corner
Meet the opposition

A long time ago in my army days myself and some mates were been shown around the American army camp in Frankfurt, we came across their weight lifting team training , they each tried to lift one particular weight and failed, my mates persuaded me to give it a go and I was able to lift it above my head, up untill that time I had only used weights in the gym and never done any weight lifting training

In 1969 I flew to Majorca on a holiday, it was the first time I had ever landed in a plane but the 28th time I had been up in one

Just maybe I would have been able to hold my own against that weed named Comm

now your talking what regiment

Parras , At the time we had to do two years National service and three years in the reserve, I transfered from the Engineers to the Parras for the extra two and sixpence a day, I was in for the money not the glory, I did my reserve training at Burt Terrace in Gateshead we did our jumps all around the North East except for the annual camps which were at different places around the UK , some very good memories and very good mates

I did not have a poncy uniform to show you like Comm but then again when I was in uniform he was still in liquid form !!!!!!!

Did you know it was only NATO that forced us to wear a reserve, before that they just painted over you

P.S I have since posting spoke to a mate of mine and he reminded me we in fact volunteered to do our reserve time in the Territorial Army
