He did put her right but he did it too gently. Burnsy might get better listener ratings if he'd have said "No you're wrong, stupid cow" and the cut her off.
What does the club need saving from? We, as in Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers, are in a period of growth both on & off the pitch. We have reached the final of the FA Cup & qualified for Europe (although this mattered little to the "The Premier League is all that matters" brigade). We finished in our highest ever position last season & have strengthened the team in a positive attempt to improve further. We made a profit of over £8m last year, our income has increased to a level we've never witnessed before. Sponsorship deals have been signed that are in excess of any the club have had before. All achieved as Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers. The only thing I see the club need saving from is an owner who has lost sight of reality to such an extent that he has misled, abused, disenfranchised & lied to his long term customer base in an arrogant attempt to sate his narrow minded & short sighted ego. He has let, initially one & now two, petty squabbles (initially refusing to let go of a childish spat with the local council & now he considers his ego to have been dented by the sport's governing body refusing his request to change the club's name for what they consider no valid reason) get in the way of progressing the club further in a mature & responsible fashion. What are your thoughts regarding why you think CTWD need to save the club?
I don't like CTWD been talked about so highly or as if they have some devine right to input above all others. I don't want Hull Tigers but I also don't want CTWD speaking for me. I'm sure many others agree.
The Allams have some serious big hitters(within the FA family) who back what the Allams are doing. The FA may well have to back track a bit if EU law is brought into the case. IMO, the FA only blocked the move last season so that the floodgates did not open from other clubs. We shall all know in november sometime after arbitration.
Why not read the thread on the arbitration rules which covers the relevant EU regulations and point out my mistakes? I'll be interested in what you have to say. Here's the link http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/277488-Rules-on-arbitration-(nicked-off-CI)
This threads whole point hinges on a claim that both sides are digging their heels in. That's true of Allam but no one else.
No PLT you're wrong, again, as much as you'd like it to read that way it doesn't at all. It's simply one City supporter's attempt at trying to find some middle ground for a compromise, probably, in fact quite obviously based on some of the responses, doomed to failure, but the thread was started with the best of intentions. It was my attempt anyway, unfortunately some, you know who you are, saw it as the green light to have a pop at me, which is fine, whatever floats their boat.
do elaborate. do elaborate. as reasons go, i like it and i expected it to be a factor, though i don't accept that it was the only reason. some of us know already, but we'll wait for you to catch up.
Actually, if memory serves me right it is the largest supporters group of Hull City AFC, or at worst second behind the OSC, so it is understandable that The FA wanted a submission and that the media seek interviews on club matters. If you want your voice and likeminded ones to be heard on a similar level, why not set up a supporters organisation too?
This. Out of curiosity CMPUNK, are you a member of any supporters group? As if not your voice is silent and your opinion matters not.
