The FA don't have to compromise at all , they have made their decision . The FA aren't slinging any mud but i doubt they react well to threats either

It's actually just one bloke squabbling with himself, nobody is squabbling back, or mud slinging.

A good mature suggestion. I notice Allam referred to "Hull City Tigers" in his interview which possibly shows some improvement on "Hull Tigers."

Everyone involved needs to put petty animosities to one side and concentrate on how we can secure the long term financial future of the club, whilst putting a framework together for fair and binding discussions on the name-change issue.
I know some so-called negotiations took place previously, but in truth neither side had any intention of considering any sort of short-term compromise.

It's time the foot-stampers on both sides started listening to those who want this club to move forward.

I think there is actually a compromise that should suit all parties.

Assam thinks a shorter name is more marketable, and he thinks he bought Hull City Tigers.

Hull City strikes me as a suitable mid-point.

Craig you are also missing the point , the FA have made their decision and any sane person would now move on and yes move forward

.. and if he thinks City is too common, how about we add let's say AFC to the end? Sorted.

you will never get that while those ( REAL FANS hahaha) at CTWD are taking breath they see themselves as the ones. to save the club.. Surely they should realise that our history will never fade and they should be proud and go forward with the club and they can then say I was there when we had those times good and bad.

I don't get why people keep bringing up CTWD I know plenty of fans who aren't members of CTWD but are against the name change

Can't see how a compromise can realistically be achieved

To change the name for however long is a climb down by one side and once changed how do you argue for its return ?

Initially I was for the idea of a trial period when the idea first was reported but once changed Allan only has to argue that a little more time is needed and if the club stays in the prem automatically more revenue will be found

This is what I see too, CTWD just a scapegoat and don't speak for thousands more too who are against the name change like myself but not a member of it

I think it might be easier to get the Council to change their name.

Caller on humberside (anne) said "everyone calls us hull tigers" "I've got lots of friends all over England and everyone calls us hull tigers" these are the f'king stupid people who'll end up costing us our clubs identity! These are the happy clappers who are constantly turning around at away games to see who's standing up and singing! I went to QPR and I pointed them out to my kids! They didn't even stand up when we scored!

    I vote potentially implode.

I'd rather an honourable death than slow excruciating torture.

Yes and i'm one of them, CTWD's stance is 'we respect everything he's done but we don't agree with the name change' whereas i just think he's a colossal ****.
