I'd like to see Dozzell, Emmanuel, and the other young lads being given a chance, but if that is to happen (with an eye on developing them for next season), then we're going to have to lower our realistic expectations and be less quick to castigate the managers and players. Despite poor form and performances, we're not out of the play-off race yet. Simple mathematics. What McCarthy should focus on is playing a more attacking formation and be less cautious in choosing his starting eleven, whether that includes youth players or not.
