After two drubbings it was nice to get a W under our belt and a win against Liverpool is always welcome. The win makes it mathematically impossible to get relegated – so the Club can now finally plan ahead for next season.

Compared to last season we are likely to get 43 points (which we already have!), while our points prediction based on a points per game ratio is 45, so perhaps we are due two draws in the final games!

    Swans Premier League Positions
    2011/12- 47pts (11th)
    2012/13 – 46pts (9th)

    2014/15 – 56pts (8th)

The first time we have won at Upton Park since 1956. The first time we have scored 4 goals all season. The first time we have scored 4 away from home since we stuffed QPR 5-0 on the opening day of the 2012/13 season. What a great Saturday! We ensured West Ham will always remember their last ever Saturday match at the Boelyn ground by dismantling them on their own patch.

    WHAT A GREAT DAY!!

I was one of the people who insisted we would need all our points before the end of March because we would hardly be in with a sniff of any after that. Since then we have gained TEN PRICELESS PREMIERSHIP POINTS to shoot up the table to a lofty 11th position.

Can this season get any crazier? Yes – if Huw and the Board decide to tell probably our most successful Premiership manager in terms of games/points ratio that he is no longer wanted. I’m holding my breath!

Compared to last season we are likely to get 46 points (which we already have!), while our points prediction based on a points per game ratio is 47.

    Swans Premier League Positions
    2011/12- 47pts (11th)
    2012/13 – 46pts (9th)

There we have it. A final position of 12th in the Premier League with 47 points means that we only finished 9 points worse off than last years record breaking season.

47points equals our second highest points in the PL while 12th position equals our lowest position in the PL.
It’s been a topsy turvy season, we’ve been all over the shop. Threatening Champions League positions at the start before a gradual slide to the relegation zone. A change of manager, twice. Finally a gradual climb up the table to finish in the middle of the pack.

Along the way we’ve picked up a few big scalps (Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool), ended a long sequence of never winning (West Ham Away – 1956) and beat a team we have never beaten in the league (Everton)

Premier League – and we’re still having a laugh! <cheers>

Cheers PGF! Have really enjoyed reading these this season, hopefully you'll continue the fine work into next season ;)

looking at the table and our total points you would think it's been just another good season in the premier for us. Crazy how we can start so bad then finish so strong. On another note, would be interesting to see the last time our second half of the season was stronger than the first. For as long as I can remember it has always been the opposite.

Enjoyed this thread PGF, great to compare the stats from previous seasons, it's kind of a leveller on results, especially when we are losing, just goes to show how we can overact on here when things are not going well, without seeing the bigger picture, which this thread delivers, hope we see it again next season from you................<cheers>
