If we could beat Palace on Saturday, that would be an improvement over last season when we drew. 1-1.

That would put us on schedule for 44pts compared with last season's comparative results, assuming we replicate our victory at The Emirates

ANORAK STAT STILL PENDING: In home matches, the Swans haven’t scored in front of the Family Stand (ie in the second half) since the win against Man U on August 30th 2015.

I've put that stat at the top of the post because I can't believe it's still standing. It's a huge factor in our poor results at The Liberty and has to be sorted if we are to get ourselves out of trouble. Once again our achilles heel of starting the second half poorly bites us on the backside with another early goal conceded, with Palace dominating the early period of the second half.

We drew at home (1-1) with Palace last season, so there is no real change in the overall picture.

This season we have improved our results against the following teams:
    Chelsea (A) 2-2 (+1), Newcastle (H) 2-0 (+2), Spurs (H) 2-2 (+1), Crystal Palace (A) 0-0 (+1), Everton (A) 2-1 (+3) WBA (A) 1-1 (+1)

We have had worse results against the following teams:

In our first season in the PL, under Brendan, after 25 games we were sitting in 11th spot, with 30 pts on the board, 9 ahead of the drop zone.

    We had won 7, drawn 9 & lost 9, having scored 28 & having conceded 32.

2 years later, after 25 games (the 25th was Monk's first) we were sitting in 10th spot, with 27 pts, 4 pts away from the drop zone.

We had won 7, drawn 6 & lost 12, having scored 32 and having conceded 35

This season is the most bazaar season we have ever seen in the premiership no team is having a season they expect. Look at Leicester 5 points clear at the top who last season finished bottom after the three teams were relegated, Then there is Chelsea who won the premiership last season who are now in a relegation battle. If you had put a bet on at the beginning of the season you would make a tidy sum of money......It's predicted that the winners will have the lowest points total and the safety will be the lowest to survive also......It has been a nightmare season for favourite backers and a one off season that i doubt we will ever see too often...

ANORAK STAT STILL PENDING: In home matches, the Swans haven’t scored in front of the Family Stand (ie in the second half) since the win against Man U on August 30th 2015.

The stat above is still pending after a miserable outing against Southampton which means by the time Norwich arrive at the Liberty on March 5th the Swans will have gone from August 2015 right through until March 2016 without scoring in the second half at home.

We lost at home (0-1) to the Saints last season, so there is no real change in the overall picture compared to last season, however in the 2015/16 season our points prediction based on a points per game ratio has now dropped to 39.

Poor management yesterday coupled with spurs far superior fitness that can last the whole game where a lot of our players cant. Even when we scored first i dont think spurs worried too much as by studying us told them we will run out of steam and whether we stay in the premiership or not we have to rectify this.....

A good start to the game at Spurs saw the Swans take the lead, but then we sat back like a boxer on the ropes taking unopposed punishment until Spurs delivered two knockout blows.

We showed we can compete against the top clubs, which is promising for our tough run in, but we need to be a bit more savvy tactically to start picking up essential points.

From our last three away games we have got four points (Everton W, WBA D, Spurs L). If we had drawn all three we would have been delighted – so you could say we have got a bonus point!! It’s our home form which is leaving us down.

We lost at White Hart Lane last season, so there is no real change in the overall picture compared to last season, however in the 2015/16 season our points prediction based on a points per game ratio has now dropped to 38.

This season we have improved our results against the following teams:

PGF - take your time, because as you said above

"Compared to last season we are currently on schedule for: 42pts (If we get the same results in the remaining corresponding games, including an away win at The Emirates)" - we won, so still on schedule for 42pts!
