We have to beat Leicester next Saturday - lose that, and also the following week against Citeh and that will be 6 points out of the last 36 points on offer .....

I think we will get a win against Leicester , based solely on the effort displayed today.
38 points ratio on what's happened so far is a wee bit scary but a win next weekend would probably get our nose above 40 points on ratio. And 1 point from a possible 9 from replaced teams is especially nervy seeing these might be teams we may be fighting it out with to possibly stay up if things don't pick up

We're going to smash them 2-1 Phil, with Gomis scoring the winner!

Apologies in advance for being negative  .... but no amount of effort can win a game if you have no shots on target. I take what you mean though, hopefully a bit of confidence will help. It's still down to the manager to put out a team with the right tactics to be able to create chances though.

Monk will have a lot to think about this week ,he imo got it right with the team selection v Liverpool and although no points he must feel that he may have got the players back on his side based on their effort but it's no good if we take 1 step forward and then 2 back which will be the case if we don't beat Leicester .A tempo high pressing game such as Leicester need to be countered by a structured and solid defence and is where Monk need to concentrate this week .The gaps will appear in behind and IF Monk has the balls to play both Rutledge and Montero with Ayew as the striker then perhaps they'll have more to think about. Utd aren't great going forward but at times they countered and perhaps should have has more than a draw .

Let's face it - we are total bollocks at the moment. I now understand how Newcastle and Sunderland usually feel.

We are OK, Mystic Monk says we`re not in a relegation dogfight:

Monk was unhappy with the decision to award Liverpool a crucial penalty for handball, but takes "full responsibility" for his side's form.

"There's never any danger of that team being in a relegation fight," he said.
Like we`re only four points off third!

"But of course we need to get points and we need to get points as quickly as possible."

"I take full responsibility for this period. You can see players are working hard to put it right.

"I understand that and you can't continue to not get points.

"But it's only a matter of time before it starts to turn for us, we'll get that one result and you'll see us fly again."

He talks the talk, but so far he`s not walking the walk. I would love to see the Swans fly again, but with his NEW style of play where no one knows what they`re supposed to do, I don`t think so.

I get the feeling that Monk has tried to fix something that wasn't broken, hence our poxy performances this season.

I think Monk is finally coming to terms that you're best players don't make you're best team , just hope it's not to late for him ....and us . It take a squad to raise a team .

The Swans have used 19 players in the current Premier League campaign, fewer than any other side. says it all he has crap to pick from OR he likes continually picking crap

Perhaps we were all hoodwinked and "duped" into thinking that we are far better than we really are by taking 8 points from our first 4 PL games....

We got a point at Chelsea - they were down to 10 men and still couldn't win

We beat Newcastle - who were down to 10 men in the first half.

We draw away to Sunderland - who were poor at that time

We beat Man U - but looking back, they dominated the match for long periods. GM was lauded ax a tactical genius for outwitting Van Gaal by changing formation - but perhaps we got lucky for 5/6 minutes. Think back, Utd were 1-0, still in the ascendency & attacking, Rooney made a mistake and lost the ball to Ash, who passed to Siggy who crossed for Ayew to equalise - against the run of play. Then Gomis' winner should really have been saved - lucky De Gea wasn't in goal that day!

Since then, we have only beaten the worst side in the PL - and we had to come from behind to do that!

Thank God we managed to wheedle those 8 points in those first 4 games - otherwise things would be even worse....
