You mean like paying 8.5 million for a striker and left back and refusing to utilize them whatsoever is going forward.sSilly money used to be spent by everyone but us.

I should point out I liked your post because you made the effort to post it - not because we're 9 points worse off! I think they should have kept the "thank" button!

So only 41 pts unless we again win away at Old Trafford & The Emirates.

That is dangerously close to the 40pts mark.....

Looking like we will be in the dogfight mix any time soon, Monk goes on about us 'not being patient enough' to wait for the break or opportunity, he's talking absolute rubbish, you should and do create your own opportunities, he's looking more like a manager well out of ideas, we have another international break for 2 weeks, and we know what that means, another Prozac performance on our return, I'll give him the Bournemouth game, and that will be it, lose that and I will be calling for him to go...............<ok>

PS: If your going to continue to play Go-Miss up front Monk, then you deserve to be sacked.

The difference between last season and this season is we were luckier last season, otherwise it's the same imo.

Another disappointing performance, we are now 9 points worse off than matches against the comparative teams last season.

    Arsenal (H) 0-3 (-3) (-8)
    Norwich*** (A) 0-1(-1) (-9)
    Bournemouth* (H) 2-2 (-11)

    Last Season: Position 8th (56pts)

Actually Whitey were on course for 41 points at that rate and with the schedule that's coming will probably drop below 40 for awhile

I'm basing it against the comparative teams from last season. If we carry on as we are and get the same points as we did against the same teams last season we will get 47pts - but that will mean we have to win away at Man U and Arsenal!!

If you based your 41 points prediction on points per games you are correct - we are just using different methods. Yours is more accurate for this season, I'm doing it this way as a direct comparison to last season.

I'll add another points per games prediction (as you have done), so we cover all angles!

Actually quite an interesting take on things the way you've done it.

According to that pole Bap only 41% want Monk gone at the minute, though it could well go up if we get slaughtered at Anfield this weekend......<ok>

I've just amended my post as it was incorrect. We beat Hull at home 3-1, so we are 11 points down on last season against the comparative teams.

Whats worse, if you look at the following link, we've only played one of the current top 12 teams away from home. We've got to play them all away in the coming months. Get prepared for a very rough ride.

Another away defeat at Anfield, that's four in our five premier league visits to The Reds with our previous Anfield results being 0-0, 0-5, 4-3 and 4-1. We are therefore still 11 points worse off than matches against the comparative teams last season.
