Spoke to my youngest yesterday. All hell at the homeless hostel she works at yesterday. Addicts can't get out, so smoking in communal areas, getting ****e-faced and scrapping with each other and the parents of other residents. Her and her colleagues locked themselves in the office and the coppers were out 5 times in one day. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's nest, or what <laugh>

Did my bit for the pub beer mountain last night. I took a bowl of scouse round for the Cheese landlord. He's got an opened keg of Carling, so can't get any money back on it. Out of date in 10 days. He put the chiller on yesterday afternoon, so was on pints of cold Carling free of charge last night <laugh> I'vegbot another bowl of the same scouse for him today <ok>

    as you do <laugh>

years ago was sat at the bar with Smiler who lit up . So there we were happily working out what we were going to do for the rest of the day when some fella sat down next to us and checked us out
Fella " you 2 drink in the Plough don't you"
    Smiler "yeah why"
Fella "were you there last Saturday when someone got glassed"
me "bloody right i was there in fact i was apparently at the next table "
Fella "did you see what happened"
me <laughing> "no mate i was off my ****ing face in fact i only found it the next night though i suppose at the time it must have registered a bit" whilst passing spliff back to Smiler
the fella then starts asking Smiler at which point we ask why he is so interested
Fella "oh sorry i should have said i'm DC Williams " waves his warrant card around
he then laughs as he sees us eying the remains of the spliff "don't worry lads i aint bothered with that stuff though a tad more discretion might be an idea"

that story is a lot quicker face to face <laugh>

Just had a text from the landlord. Very unhappy. He's been speaking to his brewery who don't expect pubs to reopen for 3 months + <grr>

With pubs it is not just people mixing, it is the extra pressure put on the NHS by drunks and violent incidents. A friend of mine is working in A&E at present and she says they are about 70% down on patients as there are fewer cars on the road so less accidents, pubs closed so less drunks/injuries, weekend sports cancelled so no footie/rugby/cricket, etc injuries. Most of what they are seeing are DIY/gardening injuries. It is classed as a green zone so no Covid-19 cases they go straight to the virus wards.

Restaurants may open earlier as they can control the amount of customers by limiting tables and spacing tables out more.
