You pay can separately for the lounge access at Manchester, it’s about 45-50 notes per head for up to 3 hours access. It’s quiet and you can have a beer or 2 and a bite to eat in peace........provided you haven’t spent a ****ing hour plus waiting at their frighteningly slow security clearance that is.
Security there is the worst, flew from Terminal 1 last month and it took what seemed like a whole ice age to get through, this was before 6am as well Dumbass people not being ready to put their stuff in the crates and go through the scanners or taking ridiculous amounts of items through doesn't help (despite the preparation areas and numerous signs out front instructing everyone in correct procedure), but I feel it would still be glacially slow even without that Airside in that terminal is also awful, mainly the gate area where the layout defies any normal logic and lacks clear and consistent signage, of course the lucrative shopping/eating area and duty free are where most investment has obviously gone ... doesn't matter if people miss their flights, as long as they've spent all their holiday savings before they've even left the country !!
Yeah ****ing awful. We queued for about an hour an a quarter out of season. We ended up with about 45 mins in the lounge which is why I mentioned it tbh. I’ll never use that airport again without security fast track
For sure, I'd done online check-in and only had a carry on bag as well, but we were still snaking round in that line for probably near enough an hour. Had enough spare to get some breakfast and do some browsing but the whole place is a mess. Compare that to a lot of airports in the UAE or Singapore Changi
People like RHC don't miss anything mate, he'll have done the booze and fallen asleep, been accidentally woken up by a concerned passerby thinking he'd popped his clogs, sworn at them for waking him and stumbled through the right gate completely by accident 20 seconds before they close it.

There's a woman working at the petrol station I stop off at with quite a goatee... Has hair growing from just one spot on her chin. Not sure why she doesn't shave it. I try not to look but it's hard not to look at it. It's just there... A tuft of inch long thick black hair growing in a small patch off her chin. Not one to judge, I'm sure she didn't chose to have facial hair but... I'm pretty sure I'd shave if in her shoes
You'd think so wouldn't you? On the face of it anyway. Some women seem to have this defiant attitude, a "this is who I am so accept me that way" thing. I can understand that to an extent, they don't want to be judged on their looks alone, but a simple thing like removing unattractive facial hair doesn't really undermine their worth as an individual, imo. Maybe she just thinks goatees are cute.
