12.30 pm. Then to the Grange at 2.00 pm until 5.00 pm.

Anyway, got to Halton and found where I was supposed to be. I was shown to my own room and a few minutes later, a young woman entered explaining she was a surgeon on the consultant's team who was carrying out the procedure, she went through a few things including the disclaimer document I signed. Then the consultant arrived. He looked at the wounds again and at first said he wasn't sure the op was required. Then he changed his mind and said only the one at the side required intervention. He said he wanted me in for 2 or 3 days so that at first, he could put me on IV antibiotics and get me leg elevated, as he felt there was still some infection there. He said it would have to be a general anaesthetic as he'd have to take more flesh away than would be comfortable under local. He'd initially told me that it would be a general anyway.

He also said the results of my blood test had come back and I was "clearly in good general health" <laugh> I said I knew a good lab he could send the sample to for research, as he was a Professor of immunology and wound healing. At this point, the split surgeon said they'd been talking about my job and it sounded very interesting. They then disappeared and the two nurses came back in and redressed my leg. I asked what time the next shuttle bus back to Warrington and after checking, it wasn't until 11.15 am. It was 9.20 am at this stage. The more senior nurse said that was no good and as they'd cancelled it, they'd call me a taxi on their account to take me back to Warrington. It was a BS taxi driver and when he asked me where I lived, I said at Wetherspoons for the next few hours.

I now wait for the next summons <yikes>

In other news, utd got beaten <laugh>

He could do with being a bit more down to earth before his career goes into a tailspin.
