I read the first paragraph. HIAG's meltdown rants are funny for the sheer amount of effort he puts into them, there's no need to actually read the guff he comes out with.

New pen system is okay, it's different so it'll take a bit of getting used to, but I don't see any real problems with it.

 

Everybody I've spoken too thought it was pants (except Arsenal fans)

The new Pen system is ****ing ****e. **** ABBA bollox. No where near enough drama like the proper pen shootouts.

 

That's only because it was Chavs. It will be exciting with proper teams

I think ABBA is fairer but agreed the drama is pants and thats not just cause Chelsea lost, it was pretty much an anti climax lol. Think its because you see the opposition team walk miles and the tension builds up

 

Ha yeah. Tottenham and their magical title winning team.

 

It doesn't change the drama at all. It's just fairer as the pressure kick alternates. If this had been in place originally (as it should have been) no-one would dream of changing it.

Gary Cahill doesn't get it though:

If you miss two penalties and the other guys score two, you are going to be two goals down whatever the system.
