devon if the club doesnt take notice of us fans views and worries they wont have a club for much longer because the fans are staying away in their droves and the crowds are only gonna get worse
I understand the frustration but look at it this way: if two people were trying to persuade you to eat something you had never tasted before which one would is most likely to succeed? (a) the one who made it sound appealing and worth a try (b) the one who tried to force feed you It's up to you. You either: (i) find a way to diplomatically make your concerns and constructive suggestions heard, or (ii) you take yourself out of the loop with no persuasive powers whatsoever. I think you prefer (b) which is effectively adopting (ii) Best of luck. If it works, I'll take my hat off to you.
i agree ron its better to have some sort of constructive discussion with the club than none at all ,but its too late for this season for lowering the prices but good offers here and there wouldnt go a miss.
Agreed Rocky and that's where we should be concentrating our thinking and constructing workable ideas. They have to guarantee a certain amount of income. If they allowed season ticket holders to bring along friends and family as free(ish) guests most would get some sort of compensation from the guests by way of free petrol/parking/drinks etc. This would get more people into the ground who wouldn't otherwise come (a %age of which might become longer term fans); hence no loss of revenue due to free/cheap admission. And season ticket holders would not effectively suffer as they would be compensated in kind. Another option might be to adopt the technique used by Amusement Parks/zoos etc where you get reduced priced tickets for future events handed out with your (paid for) admission ticket. Time to get the thinking caps on; but the ideas have to be financially viable.
my point on this ron is we never fill our stadium so why not offer season ticket holders special prices to bring possible new fans along for a fiver it cant do any harm and may benefit the club in the long run.
Agreed. It's basically getting people in who would not otherwise have come, so they aren't losing revenue and might capture some more fans.
if you read what js says about hayes trying to sell both clubs maybe he really doesnt care and wants to get out asap and take what he can get ,who knows.
sounds about right, theres enough of us on here or maybe they havent realised bbc606 has shut down yet
