The point being that if hes critisised ref's at least 3 times in the past how can the FA on the 4th occasion give him a mere warning when other managers get punished for first time offences for the same thing.

Its been said more than once in the thread that we just want clarity and parity for offences and for the FA to stick to their punishiment code.

Who's been punished for a first offence and what was the offence?
Saying that somebody's got something wrong isn't the same as saying that someone's a cheat or too fat, for example.

Grant is suggesting dishonesty, though.
He's claiming that the ref tried to even things up, after making a mistake in the first half, until the other side scored.

and harry claimed he has not criticised refs for the last 30 years so going back 3 years for a reference must be relevant

my god.... go listen to what mr redknapp said... he said CLEARLY the ref was doing his best not to give spurs anything, that he was enjying it... if thats not very similar to what mr grant said i don't know what is.

face facts, the fa want to keep him on side and poach him for england so you guys better get used to that and leaver off defending a clear case of a comment too far being brushed under the carpet.

AND AND we all need to recognise that this should not be redknapp defending or bashing but is actually FA bashing. Redknapp merely had a go at a ref and pushed the boundaries like ferguson would, its the FA's job to call him on it and it is the fa that are being inconsistent

Woy Hodgson won the manager of the year award last year but that didn't mean he was a great manager for any job now does it! I'm 36 mate and I remember the german U-Boat only too well. Week in, week out he spent more time on the ground than Emile Heskey. Get a grip mate, Dalglish makes comments on things raised in his press conferences, Arry' almost seeks out a journalist to make his comments - Which again have no connection with Spurs or himself.

Also, whether it was in a press conference or on live TV it was innappropriate of him to say. Talk about respect? Practice it then lads!

To the credit of Redknapp he is good man manager, he can tame Tevez, but I do not think
Manchester City is going to loan or sell him to any premiership club <ok>

Oh dear,'Arry's been making obscene gestures.

"Redknapp was the target of taunting from a section of Shamrock Rovers supporters throughout his team's 4-0 win in Dublin. The chants centred on the manager's trial next month on charges of cheating the public revenue – charges he vigorously denies – and Redknapp was so riled that midway through the second half he responded with what appeared to be an "up-yours" gesture that brought even more raucous denunciationfrom the fans."

He gets asked questions. He answers them. If you watch Dalglish in interviews 99% of the time he avoids the bloody question!

Normally Dalglish could be asked 'what's your favourite type of sandwich?' And he'd say:

'Well, we've some fantastic sandwiches here, very happy with them. Of course, other clubs have also got ones that they're very happy with, so I don't know what you want me to make of that. But we'll continue to make and prepare our sandwiches, we can't control the flavour or content of others, but we're confident in ourselves. Great club.'
