Same as staying awake at night mate... going back to the beginnings of human evolution ie a single celled organism you are designed to operate vis the difference in night and day ... that single cell organism is still at the epicentre of your brain today.

I finish at 10pm. I like to cook everyday after work.

I was a barby mate. Joined at 17. Had it by the time I was 18.

It was an eye opener to say the least. Cocky little scrawny kid with a big mouth. Hoyed in with full on psycho grown men. I learned hard and fast, and watched them all fall one by one. Nearly 60 began. 12 off is left at the end. Scrawny runt from Sunderland grew up sharp in those 9 months
I enlisted as a boy mate (CRE) did two lots of basic LOL, the adult basic was a breeze as was absolutely thrashed to death at Dover.

Why? Without people working through the night this country would grind to a standstill.

It really is down to going against the very first thing the human brain was able to function on.. the difference between light and dark... did upto 30 nights in a row amd you come out like dracula.. serious it really is bad ... knocks like 20 years off your life .

Anyway enjoy cooking

Aye, got some very vivid memories, as you say, long way back but remembered as if yesterday. Frightening how quick the time speeds up as we age.

There's a reason for this ... when youre say 10 a year seems like a huge period of time in your life because the maximum timeframe you can comprehend is the 10 years youve existed... as we get older the scale of 1 year decreases against the time weve existed thus giving the impression that the duration of a year speeds up .

I don't agree. Working evenings can be better than working days. The advantage with working evenings is with MH sufferers, it don't matter if you can't get up in the morning or if you feel like a bag of shhite, because in some cases by the time evening comes, you can be wide awake - ideal for a 24/7 employer.

You have to remember generally MH sufferers may also have sleeping disorders, so it's better if they can work with a body clock that suits them. People talk loads about, think mental awareness, but some serious education to be had before that truly happens.

Remember that when you need an ambulance, doctor or nurse past 11pm, it's not healthy for them to come out to you or treat you, maybe they should just let you die, to save their own health.

I'm not sure it helps to promote good mental health in the long run mate.

MH sufferers with sleeping disorders benefiting from shift work I mean. It might work logistically for a while. But shift work can wreak havoc with your body and mind. Sleep deprivation has been linked to all sorts of psychiatric disorders.

I'm late putting the thread up today, not that it matters, this guy is always late to the party anyway, our very own Bear Grylls, Marine trained and always ready for action.

Give the man a sausage, he's happy as pig on shhite, the only problem being he'd eat the whole fooking pig.

He used to have a big fook off gun near his side, protecting our fleet of nuclear armour, today he merely has a knife set - but this is not any ole knife set, this is an M&S the biggest knife set you ever did see, banged up on his kitchen wall, ready for all his hoying.

The man may not be that big in stature, but there is plenty of storage space in this mans chiller, he's a hard working, walking, talking human freezer....I dare not break out into a Cliff Richard song there, he'd never forgive me.

Tough as nails and eats like a horse, I always did wonder who nicked my horse from the pikey field. Horse sausages hmmm.

Feast your eyes on this big boy...

I don't need to research anything. And where did I assume anything, I think you might be replying to the wrong person, you can't even manage to get that right!
