Nauris Bulvitis Latvian centre back,...29years old,...6ft 3in (sorry don't do metric).....played 201 games...scored 18 goals (not bad for a defender)....played 19 times for his country, scoring 2 goals.......sounds interesting might be ok...He's here because he has been given a job to do....nothing wrong with that sensible......does make you think that Adams is resigned to losing Nelson.

Also.....David Goodwillie (yes girls that is his real name)....27yr old Scot....5ft 9in striker...played 301 games,.....scored 72 goals.....keep him away from Nandos please, got a bit of police form in the past....was at Crystal Palace awhile back on loan.....cut his loan short not happy in London (how will he cope with Plymouth ?)....and yes has spent a little time at Ross County.....he could be interesting.....72 goals aint bad.

We now have 15 players....those with contracts waiting have to make up their minds by Friday.

Another striker is signed up......Jimmie Spencer couldn't agree a new contract at Cambridge....scored 6 goals in 18 matches whilst there.

    24 years old...played 141 games and scored 32 goals....sounds interesting.

I can't see what length of contract these three new players have been offered.....I assume twelve months.

Nothing wrong with an eastern european playing for your football club then you just don't want him in your local shop.....<hug> that's 2 faces.

Signings coming thick and fast. Can't keep up.

I wonder how many more are going to be signed up? hope we have a bigger squad as we need to push on from last year. Progress has got to be Promotion.. not through the play offs.. :emoticon-0141-whew::emoticon-0141-whew:

Adams will not want too many loan players this year....looks like we will have a larger squad and possibly a bigger (in stature) and stronger one......Derek has learnt a few things hopefully from his first season in Div2.

That is good, as we hope fully can do it without to many loans .. better to have our own players and use the loans if needed...

Suspect there will be a good few announcements tomorrow reference the contract offer players. We should soon know who is off and who is not.

One announcement so far. Dorrell signs so we have back up for Luke at least. Nothing from the others yet and maybe there won't be. Will be disappointed if McHugh doesn't sign. The rest I'm not so bothered about. Well maybe Nelson but I think he is determined to bugger off somewhere.

If they haven't accepted their contracts.....why haven't they said so....McHugh would be disappointing....he is the only defensive mid-fielder we had.

Well they don't have to say anything do they. The one thing is that the contracts that were on the table aren't necessarily on the table now. I keep hearing that Reid failed a medical at Bristol and they didn't take their interest any further. If that's true then he is going to find it hard to get anyone else to sign him and I would have thought having not signed one here previously he would only be offered reduced wages now. According to pasoti there were a couple of trialists with the squad today.

Well things are starting to unravel......the good news is that McHugh is signing a new contract when he returns from Ireland on Monday.

Also Adams has signed Oscar Threlkeld full time.

But it seems.....that Reid, Nelson, Mellor and Harvey will not be signing new contracts and will be moving on.

On the balance of all that I feel we've come out with a plus there.....sorry to see Reid and Nelson move on.....although as sensible said the talk was of Reid failing a fitness test at Bristol R.....I don't understand were that leaves him if he has said no to Argyle as well.....and Nelson we have been expecting him to move....but to where ?

We should get some money for Harvey and Nelson whoever they sign for. Reid is too much of a risk. He is great when on form and fit but he isn't that often and when he does get injured he takes far too long to come back. I thought that last season as well. Mellor is great going forward but a disaster in defence and he cost us more than once last season. No loss for me. Harvey was never given a proper chance here. Maybe his own fault or maybe not I don't know. Think he needs to go elsewhere. Nelson is the biggest miss for me. I think he improved last season and some of his tackling back as a last ditch was brilliant. Pace and guts with 100% effort. But the move was inevitable and I wish him all the best. Last of our Admin players and we owe him stacks for sticking with us this far.

Definate good news is McHugh and Threkeld signing. I think we have the makings of a decent squad now and if we aren't challenging again then I will be shocked. The squad looks more solid this time but that's without seeing them kick a ball. Think also we still need a couple more players yet. Want as few loanees as possible this time. To be in the hands of other clubs at a crucial time in the season is not the best place to be. No more than 3 loanees please Adams.

Curtis Nelson has joined Oxford United. Not a huge steo up but they are living beyond their financial means, so presumably the pay's good.
