Official interview on PAFC website says that Sonny Bradley is 6ft 5 inches tall.....that might stiffen up our defence to set piece defending.
The only reason to stand a Ginster's pasty on its end is to kick it into the Tamar a la Jonny Wilkinson.
Probably wouldn't workout.....pastry too soggy.....more like a cow pat....make a mess of your boot..........
No idea Sensible, I just get the feeling that he didn't try too hard to keep last year's lot and it doesn't seem that he has had too much difficulty in attracting some interesting and decent players down. Like you, I don't know what the board offered (or not) in January. I guess we will just have to wait and see how the season pans out but this will be DA's hand picked team that he has had many months to put together.
I can't find that one hp. Why would there be a fee anyway? He didn't sign his contract with us so is a free agent. Think he has been linked with Pompey every transfer window going.
Not us thank the good lord Linked with Shrewsbury Town, isn't he ? Anyone go to your local derby match at Torquay yesterday ? How did Sonny Bradley play ?
I find it hard enough to go to league matches sometimes Wooperts never mind pre-season non matches. I'll have a scout about and see what the opinion was elsewhere at report back.
According to the main fans forum reports there were mixed reviews it seems so I'm none the wiser really. Several said they didn't rate either of our CBs who played for 80 of the 90 minutes. Several thought they were ok but might get caught out for pace in the real season. One or two thought yer man was the pick of the defence. Football fans eh!!!!! Can't agree on bugger all. General concensus was that Torquay did give it a go but Argyle were the dominant side throughout.
Just read on pasoti that Tyler Harvey has gone to Spain on a pre-season tour with Sunderland. So if the rumours are right then that's some interest from Newcastle, Birmingham and now Sunderland. I know he played in an u21 Newcastle game so that isn't a rumour anymore. It does seem he is putting himself out there and not lacking in interest.
Another incoming from the trialists this time. Ijaha or however you spell it. Not so sure about this one as we caught a cold from Fireman Sam when we went non league. Still I haven't seen him in action so will reserve judgement until I do. We have 20 players now allegedly.
Interesting YouTube - passing to die for. Pity he isn't 24 but still. http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/who...mouth-argyle/story-29531641-detail/story.html
Go to Spain and watch a load of 9 year olds notdistant. Passing to die for and not one giant kid anywhere to be seen.
And the purpose of tika-taka? Oh yes, passing for passing's sake. Not for me thanks. Or Pep Guardiola... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...aka-its-rubbish-and-completely-pointless.html
Well peps book looks interesting... I see we have a young squad, just like england had .. but hope we prove to be a lot better.. On England, it looks like SAM the man will be boss in 24 hours? Good or Bad? not for me im afraid..
Hard to say: trying to play like Spain or Italy seems beyond us so maybe trying to be like Wales is our best bet! I know his teams play in a style that some don't like but then he's never really had a competitive squad to work with. His very forward looking in terms of sports science which you wouldn't guess to look at him. A well planned counter-attacking style with the pace available to him might work better than what we've seen before but to make that work, you first need a good defence! That we haven't had.
Well he has done ok with the squads he has managed but the style was not great.. Well one thing for sure, surely he cant be any worse. As you say he has the talent to choose from now.. Still he was not my choice.. Liked to have seen younger manager.. but who could that have been.. I dont think he will take any nonsense..
