Mike Dean may have done us a favour there. Ramires stays on the pitch for now despite what looks like a clear elbow. Hopefully he can help Chelsea get 3 points today, but then will be hit with a retrospective 3-match ban for violent conduct and miss the game against us!

Maybe a draw won't be a bad result, Liverpool will still be top of the league and hopefully not turn up tomorrow... wishful thinking I know lol.

Chelsea look nothing like they did earlier in the season.
Maybe a point could be got against them?

Just got hit by a horrible thought.... We could easily finish bottom if we don't get another point?
Not that it's going to happen, three points tomorrow a point at old Trafford & a win against the gunners should get us home.

Screw that. I'd take Pulis in a heart beat. He has Palace playing good attacking football and has made them the second best defence in the league! I don't care about how he was seen at Stoke, He knows how to get a team playing. Palace were a right off this season and now they have won 4 on the spin and could get themselves into the top half. He probably deserves manager of the season but Brendan Rodgers will get it.

If I could go back in time and appoint Pulis in December, I'd do it, but at the time, I don't think many of us would. However "functional" his football, it is at least that, something Hughton never really seemed to crack. It's almost a shame we weren't in more trouble back in December really! I wouldn't have objected to bringing Pulis in to pull us out of danger, so long as once safe his remit was changed to include an improvement to the quality of football played. Rather like many suggested giving Hughton an attack-minded coach to work with, the same could have worked with Pulis.

I actually thought Sunderland were dead and buried a few weeks ago, but that´s a shocker, along with the point they earned at Man C, where they actually could have had 3 as well. Time to stand up and be counted.

I think if Sunderland can take points from the top teams, I can't see why we can't. Although I have Liverpool as a write off. The other 3 is possible.

But that's just me trying to remain hopeful, deep down I think we can't do it.

On paper we are in a bad way, but as rbf says, it's not over until we have nothing to play for
How poor were Sunderland at our place and now they've beaten Chelsea and drawn at man city? No reason why we cant take points off the big boys

    Edit, snap drunky

That doesn't even begin to describe it. I can't see us getting a boost like some teams seem to be getting. Just doesnt seem something we have in us to be honest.

we just need to get that first goal, even if we dont hold on to the lead it will up the confidence and take the weight off their shoulders, RVW would be the perfect candidate for it. I think tomorrow you will see a different team walk out on home soil, new manager, new tactics with the realisation that its backs against the wall and **** or bust now. The worst they can do is go out and lose and thats what everyone seems to be expecting, so what have they got to lose? We are going to be at our most dangerous and liverpool will know that. Go out and enjoy the game boys.
