Despite recent results I still went and I'm glad I did, decent atmosphere in the second half along with the performance, derserved the win and even if we don't make the play offs it's better to finish the season with wins and not losses, I think we may win against the cockneys on the last day, they are playing shocking at the Boleyn Ground recently.
You maybe correct on that last line but to hear some of the neg heads pre-match yesterday you would think we are Doncaster Rovers. ffs, its nowhere near as bad as many would make you beleave.
Each to their own but I didn't consider not going yesterday, not for one minute. Saying that I can understand why some decided not to go. What some people on here don't realise is that when you work funny hours and have a young family you can't get to every single game. For some it's about balancing family time with City time. I'm lucky in one way as my son loves to come to games but not so lucky in that my other half hates football. I can't just tell her to do one and that I'm off to the football every game as I'd end up divorced which I don't want to happen because she earns a lot more money than me
Actually that's not right. I'm very fortunate that she doesn't like football. I couldn't think of anything worse than going to City with her indoors. Jesus that would be bad. Really bad.
Its a fine balancing act where married life 7 kids are concerned. Its also best to marry a football fan who also earns lots of money.
I don’t think coming on here and slagging off people for not going to the game, regardless of the reasons, is very appropriate! Why do we always have to have this ‘I’m a better fan than you are’ argument? It’s like saying my dads harder than your dad when you are 10 years old! Some people didn’t go, they might not go to away games, they might only go to one game a season, but that doesn’t make them any less of a fan than someone who goes home and away! And to turn round and say that the only reasons you shouldn’t go are financial or health is a complete load of bollocks!!
Yesterday was probably the first game I genuinely wasn't looking forward to beforehand. Yet it turned into one of my favourite matches of the season, probably topped only by Derby away.
Like NFU I never considered not going. For me no matter how bad the team are playing I always manage to convince myself that this one will be the one we start winning again. I look forward to it all week and I really don't know what I'd wo without football!
Well I didn't go because I went to the rugby yesterday but it turned out to be one of those rare occasions where I wish I could be in 2 places at once, fantastic result and the day just got better when I recieved the phone call about City's win on the tram
I was there like always home and away, this tiger totty gos everywhere(following city that is!) I can understand why some people stayed away, as some have said, there was the rugby away, and also with it being easter people made plans to go away, see family ect, and also some people had to work, (ive had to work a Bank Holiday before, instead of going to city) but it doesnt make you any less of a supporter if you carnt go to every game, home or indeed away.
totally agree with boothferry legend==Ive always called myself for being a tigers fan when the going was tough even though i wasnt going-hope that makes sense
