Indeed I will back this up, Yanga M'Biwa was bordering on incedible last season, he's quick and athletic, he is good in the air, and he is very, very accomplished on the ball for a CB. I was STUNNED that Arsenal, who have watched him for 2 years and allegedly attempted to get him at the same time as Giroud (who is turning into an excellent signing), didn't make the leap, he is an Arsenal type player, comfortable with most tasks. Debuchy is absolutely an improvement on Simpson, attack and defense. Gouffran though? I don't, simply can't fathom. The lad isn't slow, fine. He does try and go past his man, but there's nothing at the end of it, he isn't a finisher either, at least not consistently, and he has failed to form a partnership with anyone over the last 3 years at Bordeaux. They can say he's been signed as a winger, but make no mistake he wants to be a striker, and he is ****ing awful as a striker. He is very 'Obertan-ish', you will see a hint of a decent player, then be reminded several times that he isn't one. A bit of faith in Marveaux, who is far superior, would have been the way forward, or signing Danny Graham, a lad who IS a striker, and WILL get goals. 2 outta 3 ain't bad, if Colo stays.
I'll be gutted if Coloccini leaves. He's a leader and a steadying influence to those around him. He's got his own reasons for wanting to leave apparently, but he'll go with everyones blessing here. He'll always be a cult hero to us.
Is there anything at all, even rumours, about what the 'personal reasons' are mate? Just came from nowhere.
You know the song "Oh Coloccini, you are the love of my life, Oh Coloccini, I'd let you shag my wife," etc? Well........ it's just rumour mind! That and his wife is ill/can't settle here dah de dah.......
Aye, I did hear that, but haway mate, that's the staple diet of a speculator. Seems a bit deeper to me, guess we'll have to wait and find out like, but I ain't buying that 3 years in his wife decided she couldn't settle either. Horse ****.
Aye, it's a queer one. Bloody shame though, he's been our rock for the last two seasons. Horse ****? You been eating the TESCO burgers. (I've just had one of their Quarterpandas)
I don`t give a toss about his reasons for leaving. The important point for me is that he`s going. One of their best players off out of it? nowt but good for me like. Fukem I say. Can he take Ben Arfa with him?
Mate, if horse tastes good, I'll ****ing eat it. Ridiculous that was, we are humans, we eat **** that isn't human. That simple.
We eat cows, pigs, lamb. Horse's are magnificent creatures with very little fat. That's a good think. Lean meat? Get in my belly!
Haha, more than likely mate. I've never actually eaten horse, I should point out. Remember Demolition Man, eats the ratburger, 'best damn byrger I ever had', it's reality, people will scoff at summat, but if they eat it blind, who's to say they won't love it?
Nowt wrong with horse meat. Ate dog in Saudi. The Phillippino's had a barbie, food was awesome but next day most of the dogs on base had disappeared
Looks like sissoko is wrapped up now too. This is a massive signing for us. Getting him and mbiwa in one window is a huge coup. Another one I can't believe we have signed. Gouffran is a strange one because in no way is he a ba replacement. I think he has signed him to work on the right of a front 3. However, once Ben Arfa is fit he goes straight back in. A lot is being made of all the frech players getting signed but if anything it will be helping To keep our established better players like cabaye and HBA sweet. Also some better noises in tomorrow's papers regarding colo. need to put it in the pitch now.
He will be gone in the summer for a knock down fee, a deal has been done me thinks. I'm sure your new players will be fine signings, after they bed in.
Hes staying as he has been told it will cost him £7m to leave. Is that a good result? Forcing him to stay, against his will and threatening him it will cost him to push it any further? Mmmmmm! Good luck on that one lads, you may have been better to get him off the wage bill for 6 months (gardening leave) and brought in a short term cover.
